Michigan City Schools (ONLY) Referendum Election

The question that will appear on the ballot is as follows:

“Shall the (Board of School Trustees of Michigan City Area Schools) issue bonds or enter into a lease to finance the renovation of and additions and improvements to the existing A.K. Smith Career Center building and the construction of a new career center facility at the existing high school”?

Voter Registration Closes for (Porter Twp.) / Absentee Voting Begins:  Monday  5/18/09 
  
We will be open the last Saturday before the election: 6/13/09   8:30 – 12:30 for early voting.

All early voting ends: Monday 6/15/09 @ 12:00 Noon

Please call the Porter County Voter registration office for request of absentee voting (by mail) applications.  219-465-3484. 

The last day that this office can receive an absentee application to vote by mail is 6/09/09 midnight.
