CATS: Addressing Financial Problems

Managing Financial Obligations With Your Cat

In today’s economy this has become a common reason that people need to give up their cats.  But with smart planning and some outreach, there may be ways that you can still balance your budget while keeping your cat!

  • If you are having trouble affording the things that your cat needs, and if this is the only reason why you have chosen to surrender your cat, consider asking for help from friends or family members.

  • If your cat has an expensive medical condition, consider talking with your veterinarian to see if affordable payment options are available.

  • If you spay/neuter your cat, you can often prevent many expensive medical problems over the long run.  CLICK HERE for information about low cost spay/neuter programs.

  • If those options do not meet your need, contact the Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry.  The Kibble Kitchen may be able to assist you with pet food assistance, spay and neuter surgeries, vaccinations, euthanasia when a pet is terminally ill or injured, emergency medical, toys, treats and flea preventative.  CLICK HERE for information about Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry and how to apply for assistance.
