Administration Center Sidewalk & Curb Improvement Project
Sidewalk and Curb Improvement Project At Porter County Government Administration Center

Beginning the week of October 21st, a sidewalk and curb improvement project will begin on the north and east sides the Porter County Government Administration Center.

Phase One of the project, which will continue through early November, will restrict parking along the north side of the Administration Center on Indiana Avenue. On-street parking, including the current handicap parking spaces, will continue to be available on Lafayette Street during Phase One. Parking will also be available in the County parking garage, including handicap parking on level three of the garage. The public can enter the parking garage from Napoleon Street and will be free during regular business hours.

When Phase One is complete and parking is again available on Indiana Avenue, Phase Two will begin on the east side of the Administration Center along Lafayette Street and is expected to continue until late November. During Phase Two, handicap parking spaces will be available on Indiana Avenue and on level three of the parking garage. Free parking will continue to be available in the County parking garage, including handicap parking on level three of the garage.

Handicap parking and access to the Administration Center during early voting will not be impaired. The most convenient method of handicap access to early voting is through level three of the parking garage, which will be free until the project is completed.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.
