The Porter County Health Department's Public Health Emergency Response & Preparedness Section is responsible for the county's Public Health Emergency Response & Preparedness program:
  • collaborate with federal, state, regional and local agencies to ensure a coordinated response to an emergent public health event
  • develope/assess/evaluate public health emergency response plans
  • developed plans to receive and manage the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) (formally known as the National Pharmaceutical Stockpile)
