fThe Mission of Adult Probation is to provide necessary services to the offender with the goal of reducing the probability of continued criminal behavior while also insuring the safety of the community. Probation shall provide information to conduct investigations and supervise offenders for the Court. (Indiana Code 11-13-1-3 and 5) Investigations and supervision shall be conducted in accordance with standards established by the Judicial Conference of Indiana. Probation is a profession which requires fundamental knowledge of the law, sentencing alternatives, human services and community protection.
